Hector Guerra Bio
My name is Hector Guerra an Education Area Director. My educational career began in 1975 as a Teacher, Adult Education Supervisor, and Principal for 26 years with the McAllen Independent School District until my retirement in 2010. I worked for A Career in Teaching an Alternative Certification Program as a Field Supervisor before landing a job with Hidalgo County Head Start Program on December 2, 2014 as a Center Manager for Alamo Head Start Center. In July of 2015, I was promoted to my current position where my experience in curriculum and instruction have helped support and provide staff with professional development in effective teaching practices, strategies to improve instruction and adult/ child interactions. I am an Affiliate CLASS Trainer for Pre-K and have a Master’s in Education with a Mid Management Certification from Pan American University.
