Angelica Salinas Bio
I graduated from high school in Reynosa. After graduation, I moved to Edinburg to attend the University of Texas-Pan American and completed my undergraduate degree in 2002 in International Business, specializing in Management. My first professional employment was working in the private sector with a cell phone company
specializing in sales. My job enthusiasm was so fantastic I was awarded a trip to Coronado, California for reaching regional top sales. It was a great accomplishment since I was barely out of college, and I was amongst the youngest to win the competition Nationally. My next endeavor was working for a consulting firm, where I had the opportunity to work in political campaigns as a bookkeeper. My next opportunity was working for an import and export company, where I learned the many complex international rules and regulations required from American companies
that purchase and sell to countries throughout the world. In my opinion, the best opportunity came in 2009 when I applied with the Hidalgo County Head

I currently hold the position of Procurement Manager, and I work with all the departments to ensure they get their materials needed. I also verify that all purchases comply with Federal and State requirements and regulations.
I quickly learned the purpose of this program, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to work here and to be part of this great team.
